Dr. Brynn Davis-Huggins

I’m Dr. Brynn Davis-Huggins, the proud new owner of Flemington Veterinary Hospital and a lifelong resident of Richmond Hill, Georgia. As a “Double Dawg,” I earned both my Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology and my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia, and I’m excited to bring my passion for animal health back to serve my hometown community. After veterinary school, I married my high school sweetheart, Tony, and together we’re raising two wonderful children, Tenley and Tate, along with a lively household of three dogs, four cats, and a flock of chickens. When I’m not caring for patients, you’ll often find me working in my garden, out on the boat fishing, or joining my sister on our latest adventure. At Flemington Veterinary Hospital, I’m committed to providing compassionate, personalized care and building lasting relationships with both pets and their people. I look forward to meeting your beloved fur-babies and becoming your trusted partner in their lifelong health and happiness.

Dr. Peter Winn Martin

Dr. Peter Winn Martin

My name is Peter Winn Martin. I am the senior veterinarian and chief bottle washer at Flemington. I grew up nearby on St. Simons Island. My earliest childhood memories involve my family’s buff cocker spaniel, Noel. My first pet was my Christmas collie, Robbie. In my home, I was the pet caregiver, so whether I was caring for Jingle’s hot spots or feeding our cats, or just giving loving care to and receiving unconditional love from whoever we had at any certain time, the job was mine by natural inclination. As a high school student I was fortunate to be able to begin working as a kennel assistant for our family veterinarian, Dr. Billy Weeks. He fueled my desire to become a veterinarian through his caring concern for his patients and their owners, a trait I think I developed and share. I attended the Veterinary College at the University of Georgia, and while there I met my wife Cathy, an artist and world class cook. We have been married 35 years, and we have four children, and all love pets. My wife and I currently care for Rudy, our nine year old weimaraner, and Penelope, a two year old American Staffordshire, both rescues. I enjoy morning and evening walks with them and golf without them. When they give me a chance to sit and relax, Rudy sits on my left, with at least a paw touching me, and Penelope sits on my right, as close as she can. I am a deacon in my church.

My desire is that my practice reflects my concern that my clients’ pets are treated with the same care and concern that my staff’s pets receive.

Jessica - Licensed Veterinary Technician (Lead Technician)

Hello, I’m Jessica. I have been a proud Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2008, though my passion for animal care began much earlier while growing up in a small Pembroke town, where my dad was as always rescuing strays and I find comfort in their company. Although I originally planned to become a veterinarian, I discovered that my true calling lies in hands-on care and building meaningful connections with my patients. My journey in veterinary medicine has been shaped by the guidance of wonderful mentors and the support of classmates, especially during challenging times such as the loss of my father. One of my most rewarding experiences was nursing a traumatized pig back to health, which reminded me just how impactful and fulfilling this work can be. At home, I share my life with my old man Duke, a puppy names Diesel and my husband Daniel. When I’m not at the clinic, I enjoy relaxing with family, crocheting, and catching up with my grandmother. While veterinary medicine can be challenging, I am deeply committed to helping animals-including the “spicy” ones-live their best lives, and to supporting the people who love them.

Constance

Constance - Licensed Veterinary Technician

Meet Constance, our dedicated Veterinary Technician at Flemington Veterinary Hospital. Originally from Tacoma, Washington, Constance grew up surrounded by family and a love for animals, which inspired her early interest in animal care. Initially drawn to working with military dogs, she chose to pursue veterinary technology instead, graduating from tech school in 2010.

Since moving to the area in 2015, Constance has become an integral part of our team, bringing her passion for client education, health certificates, and caring for puppies and kittens to her daily work. Outside the clinic, she enjoys exploring the Northeast’s history with her family and spending time with her two cats, Page and Willow.

Constance’s journey from volunteering and working at Petco to becoming a valued veterinary professional reflects her commitment to building meaningful connections with both pets and their owners.

Laura

Laura - Customer Service Representative

Meet Laura, our cheerful receptionist at Flemington Veterinary Hospital! Laura started over seven years ago as an assistant after bringing her dog in for surgery and has been part of the team ever since. Originally from Washington state, she loves camping, spending time at the lake, and is a big fan of monster trucks—especially collecting Grave Digger memorabilia. When not at the clinic, Laura enjoys reading, spending time at the beach, and hanging out with her two furry companions: Winston Zeddemore, her ghost-busting black lab, and Meowser, her cat who thinks he’s a dog. Laura’s goal? To pet all the critters and not get rabies!

Cayla

Cayla -  Veterinary Assistant

Hi, I’m Cayla! I joined the clinic in 2024 as a veterinary assistant and am now training to become a licensed technician. I’ve always loved animals—growing up in Texas, I was constantly rescuing wildlife and knew early on I wanted to work in the medical field. After meeting a fellow Army wife who worked at this clinic, I was inspired to follow this path.

I love hands-on learning, getting to know each pet’s personality, and being part of such a supportive team. Outside of work, I’m a proud military spouse and mom to two kids, a dog, two cats, and a bunny named Bagel!

Originally from Middle Georgia, she earned her Veterinary Technology degree from Ogeechee Technical College and completed an externship at Emory University, focusing on non-traditional species.

Taylor’s favorite part of her job is helping pets heal and building relationships with their owners. At home, she’s surrounded by Australian Shepherds, a Husky mix, terriers, cats, and small exotic mammals. When she’s not at the clinic, Taylor enjoys creating art, crocheting, and spending time with her furry family.

Sylvia - Veterinary Assistant

Meet Sylvia, one of our experienced Veterinary Technicians at FVH, whose passion for animal care began during her military service in December 1999 and was solidified through volunteering at a shelter after her service.

Outside of work, Sylvia enjoys fishing, attending sporting events, and, despite her self-described dry sense of humor, consistently brings heart and dedication to everything she does.
